What is Purolyt?

Purolyt was specifically developed to protect gardeners' greenhouses, gardening equipment, propagators, inert growing media, hydroponic systems, and nutrient solutions from undesirable microorganisms and biofilm.

GAMECHANGER Purolyt opens up entirely new possibilities for plant cultivation using VPD charts because a clean environment allows for growing even under high temperatures and humidity. It is now possible to fully utilize the potential of plant genetics.

Application Methods

For surface disinfection in greenhouses and other agricultural applications, Purolyt can be applied by the following methods:

• spraying
• cold mist
• wiping disinfection

To disinfect water-based nutrient solutions, Purolyt can be added directly. Since pathogenic substances like bacteria, fungi, and viruses are often dispersed in irrigation water, clean water free of pathogens is a top priority.

Important Notes on Application:

Any prepared diluted solution should be used as soon as possible, no later than 48 hours after preparation. Store in a tightly sealed container and away from UV light.
For spraying/misting, always use purified water (e.g., distilled, deionized, or osmosis water). We recommend commercial pressure sprayers with a minimum pressure of 3 bars.
If plants are grown under artificial lighting, spray/mist just before or during the light period, but the grow lights must always be turned off.
The grow lights must remain off for 20-30 minutes after spraying. During this time, one 4-watt LED light per 3 m² is sufficient to maintain the plants in the light period.
For outdoor applications, spraying/misting should be done only in the morning and evening to avoid direct sunlight/UV exposure.

Areas of Use

Implementing preventive hygiene measures in plant cultivation significantly reduces the likelihood of infections, and as a result, the use of pesticides. It also increases the chances of successful biological control.

Antimicrobial Effect

Purolyt effectively kills bacteria, fungi, algae, and viruses. When used correctly according to instructions, Purolyt ensures a safe environment. Additionally, it effectively removes biofilms in water systems and prevents their formation.

Principle of Action

Purolyt uses a similar mechanism to that of the human immune system to combat bacteria and viruses: when the immune system detects a virus, it activates white blood cells. These cells produce hypochlorous acid (HClO), which is also the active ingredient in Purolyt. It has been scientifically proven that HClO has highly effective disinfectant properties.
