What is Purolyt?

Purolyt was specifically developed to protect gardeners' greenhouses, gardening equipment, propagators, inert growing substrates, hydroponic systems, and nutrient solutions from unwanted microorganisms and biofilm.

Application Methods:

For surface disinfection in greenhouses and other agricultural applications, Purolyt can be used by the following methods:

• Spraying
• Cold fogging
• Wiping disinfection

For disinfecting water nutrient solutions, Purolyt can be added directly. Since pathogenic substances like bacteria, fungi, and viruses are often dispersed in irrigation water, clean water free of pathogens is a top priority.

Important Notes for Application:

Any prepared diluted solution must be consumed as soon as possible, and no later than 48 hours after preparation. Keep it in a tightly sealed container and away from UV light. For spraying/fogging, always use purified water (e.g., distilled, deionized, or osmosis water). We recommend using commercial pressure sprayers with a pressure of at least 3 bar. If plants are grown under artificial lighting, spraying/fogging should be done right before or during the photoperiod, but the grow lights should always be turned off. The grow lights should remain off for 20-30 minutes after spraying. To maintain plants in the photoperiod during this time, one 4-watt LED light for every 3 m² will suffice. For outdoor applications, spraying/fogging should be done exclusively in the morning or evening to avoid direct sunlight/UV exposure.

Areas of Use:

Implementing preventive hygiene measures when growing plants significantly reduces the likelihood of infections, and consequently, the use of pesticides. It also increases the chances of successful biological control.

Antimicrobial Effect:

Purolyt effectively eliminates bacteria, fungi, algae, and viruses. When used properly according to the instructions, Purolyt ensures a safe environment. Additionally, it effectively removes biofilms from water systems and prevents their formation.

Mode of Action:

Purolyt uses a similar mechanism to the human body's defense system: when the immune system detects a virus, it activates white blood cells. These produce hypochlorous acid (HClO), which is also an active component of Purolyt. It has been scientifically confirmed that HClO is highly effective in disinfecting.
