What is Purolyt?

Purolyt was specifically developed to protect gardeners' greenhouses, gardening equipment, propagators, inert growing substrates, hydroponic systems, and nutrient solutions from unwanted microorganisms and biofilm.

GAMECHANGER Purolyt opens entirely new possibilities for plant cultivation using VPD charts, as a clean environment allows for cultivation even under high temperatures and high humidity. Now, it is finally possible to unlock the full potential of plant genetics.

Application Methods

For surface disinfection in greenhouses and other agricultural applications, Purolyt can be applied by:

• Spraying
• Cold misting
• Wiping disinfection

To disinfect nutrient solutions, Purolyt can be added directly. Since pathogenic substances like bacteria, fungi, and viruses are often dispersed in irrigation water, clean water free of pathogens is a top priority.

Important Application Notes:

• Any prepared diluted solution should be consumed as quickly as possible, no later than 48 hours after preparation. Store in a tightly closed container, away from UV light.
• Always use purified water (e.g., distilled, deionized, or osmosis water) for spraying/misting. Commercial pressure sprayers with a minimum pressure of 3 bar are recommended.
• If plants are grown under artificial lighting, spraying/misting should be done just before or during the photoperiod, and the grow lights should be turned off.
• Grow lights should remain off for 20-30 minutes after spraying. A single 4-watt LED light is sufficient for a 3m² area during this period.
• For outdoor applications, spraying/misting should only be done in the morning and evening to avoid direct sunlight/UV radiation.

Areas of Use:

Implementing preventive hygiene measures in plant cultivation significantly reduces the likelihood of infections, and consequently, the need for pesticides. This also increases the chances of successful biological control.

Antimicrobial Effect:

Purolyt effectively eliminates bacteria, molds, algae, and viruses. When used properly according to instructions, Purolyt ensures a safe environment. Additionally, it effectively removes biofilms in water systems and prevents their formation.

Principle of Action:

Purolyt uses a similar mechanism to that of the human body in fighting bacteria and viruses: when the immune system detects a virus, white blood cells are activated. These produce hypochlorous acid (HClO), which is also the active ingredient in Purolyt. It has been scientifically confirmed that HClO is highly effective in disinfecting.
