Ozone generators are used for sterilizing spaces from viruses, bacteria, and mold. High-performance ozone generators that deliver high ozone concentrations per cubic meter are supplied to clinics, high-exposure areas such as doctor's waiting rooms, buses, subways, hotels, apartments, and more. High doses of ozone can sterilize exposed spaces within minutes.

The most affordable and easiest method of sterilization, as the gas reaches every corner. Ozone generators do not replace mechanical disinfection.

These devices are often supplied to restaurants where, due to environmental requirements (city centers, proximity to residential areas), it is necessary not to emit odors. They are also used in water treatment plants, sewage systems, biogas plants, and facilities where active ozone is used for one-time disinfection of spaces and odor removal, such as changing rooms, gyms, stables, restaurants, and facilities previously used for other purposes and inadequately renovated, where persistent odors such as deep cigarette smells in furniture, walls, interiors, etc., remain.

In some cases, ozone generators can completely replace a carbon filter and remove odors. However, they are primarily intended as a supplement to a final or continuous carbon filter. In restaurants or kitchens, multi-stage filtration (extraction hood/activated carbon, grease filter) is required, followed by the ozone generator as the final component.

Ozone is a corrosive element, so it is recommended to use it as the final step. Otherwise, it will accelerate the corrosion of metal parts in the ventilation system.

Despite the higher initial cost, ozone generators are a great investment with a very fast return, especially when they can completely replace a carbon filter. In this case, the return on investment is 1-2 years. With low service costs, including plate replacement (approximately 600 CZK per plate with a lifespan of about 2 years), ozone generators are very affordable to operate. The number of plates in the generator depends on airflow (1-10 plates), and energy consumption ranges from 10 to 32W.

Ozone consists of three oxygen atoms (O3). It forms under UV radiation, through the reaction of nitrogen oxide with volatile organic compounds, and during atmospheric discharges. After thunderstorms with frequent lightning strikes, we often feel fresher air due to the presence of ozone. Ozone eliminates viruses, bacteria, allergens, and mold spores without chemicals. Ozone disinfection is therefore used in medicine, water treatment, and other fields. It also breaks down and removes odors, ensuring a clean and healthy environment free from harmful particles. Ozone is one of the strongest oxidants, making it useful in disinfection, deodorization, and also in decolorizing or removing unpleasant tastes from some food products. It is used in gas form (more often) or ozonated water. A powerful oxidant, ozone is mainly used in deodorization because it alters the properties of various organic compounds responsible for unpleasant odors. Ozone effectively destroys bacteria, mold, and viruses, making it useful for all types of disinfection.

Ozone does not mask the cause of the odor but removes it permanently!

The possibilities for using ozone are numerous. Procedures involving ozone are environmentally friendly and even accepted in organic food production. By using ozone, no byproducts are produced. Ozone is not stable and quickly breaks down into oxygen. A downside of ozone is that it is a corrosive gas with respect to metals. It is hazardous to electrical devices (wiring), as it can oxidize the surface of metal equipment.

For effective disinfection and odor removal using "active oxygen" (O3), we offer ozone generators. Oxygen (O2) passes through the device, where it is partially converted into unstable ozone (O3) using "silent" discharges. We recommend using them in combination with fans, which we are happy to offer. With high fan speeds that process dozens of cubic meters of air in a short time, these ozone generators are ideal for a wide range of applications.

Note: OZONE is a toxic gas. The device must be placed at the "outlet" outside where it mixes with the air; never inside a room.
