Hygrozyme
Code: 2CB2ZD2-500Product detailed description
Hygrozyme is authorized by OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute), and is a naturally derived organic solution, specifically to facilitate the transformation and expulsion of decomposed organic matter that may have accumulated in the media or on media surfaces – without altering the normal course of decomposition.
Acts as a “cleaner” before or in conjunction with the sterilization of container growing media, such as plastic mesh, soil, rock wool, coconut fiber or agricultural equipment, including but not limited to greenhouse tools, hydroponic systems , aeration stones, pipes, pumps, watering cans, drip systems and nutrient tanks.
Hygrozyme is the only known natural cleaner on the market that is sterile (bacteria-free) and inert. Hygrozyme is produced to ISO (International Standards Organization) standards and is considered medical grade. The technology was identified and originally developed for hospitals. It is now considered the “Gold Standard” of passive cleaning in almost all hospitals for the purpose of cleaning surgical equipment. It has been proven that chemicals alone do not remove decomposed organic products prior to sterilization.
This natural cleaner is the only one that can be used in conjunction with other standard cleaning chemicals (for example hydrogen peroxide). It can be used alone, when it is prohibited or not appropriate to use chemical products.

INCREASE IN HARVEST
Healthy plants grow larger, stronger and faster than diseased plants. A clean growing medium promotes healthy plant growth. Hygrozyme helps maintain cleanliness. When the environment is clean, the plant has less competition for food and oxygen, and therefore less stress.
When Hygrozyme helps convert dead matter into usable energy for the plant, it has a greater food supply. The common result of a healthy plant with more food and less stress is root expansion. Greater root mass allows for greater growth.
CUTTINGS AND CLONING
Hygrozyme is an excellent solution in cutting and cloning processes. It can be used either alone, 1.5 Ml per liter, or together with the preferred cloning compound. Tests have shown that in the presence of Hygrozyme, accelerated growth occurs up to 30% faster than with conventional methods.
If used on seed, it is most effective when used immediately after seed germination. Again, CSRI testing showed robust development and the typical result was development up to 30% faster than with conventional methods.
Hygrozyme is compatible with all standard cloning and cutting formulas and can be used in conjunction with other solutions or alone.
USE WITH SOIL, PEAT MOSS, COCONUT FIBER, ROCK WOOL AND WATER
In tests reviewed by the Canadian Science and Research Institute (CSRI), Hygrozyme has been found to be “excellent” for maintaining increased use of hydroponic systems and solutions. An increase of up to 30% in longevity has been experienced. As for soil, Hygrozyme has been proven to increase soil porosity by accelerating the decomposition of organic matter. Its main function is to vigorously remove organic matter from the environment, preventing the environment from contracting a disease.
As a media rejuvenator, it is used after harvests as an impregnation solution and must be applied once the substrate is watered. A rapid and almost complete reduction of dead biomass can be observed with a concentration of 2.5 to 3.75 Ml per liter. The available nutrients are released in the process and, depending on the circumstances, can become an excellent source of plant energy available for future growth.
PROPHYLACTIC IN PREVENTING DISEASES – MOLD
Hygrozyme is a highly refined enzymatic cleaner/decomposer for dead matter. Keeping in mind that it is sterile and inert, Hygrozyme cannot kill anything. Its key role, therefore, is to act as a prophylactic.
Many leaf-transmissible diseases, such as black spot, downy mildew, flourish in the presence of dead matter. Transferred by humans, macro-organisms or airborne inputs can quickly settle in the presence of dead matter.
Regular use of Hygrozyme can be a deterrent by eliminating dead matter and at the same time promoting the presence of beneficial microorganisms on foliage surfaces and in the growth medium or hydroponic solution. This is especially the case in combination with compost extracts containing micro-organisms. To obtain the best results it should be used from the beginning in a clean system to maintain those conditions. Applications at a rate of 1.5 Ml for each liter are sufficient.
USE IN HYDROPONIC SYSTEMS
Hygrozyme's function in pure hydroponic systems is to act as a refined and natural facilitator/cleanser. Hygrozyme helps eliminate and transform dead organic matter, facilitating and accelerating the natural decomposition process. What normally takes weeks can be achieved in minutes with the presence of specific natural enzymes. In a closed hydroponic system there are many factors that can facilitate the development of a disease. The buildup of dead matter is usually the contributing factor to this common problem.
The accumulation of dead organic matter occurs in pipes and pumps, where “areas” of dead matter may exist. Normally this happens in 90º elbows in pipes and in air stones and in pumps. This accumulation of dead organic matter can provide ideal conditions for harmful microorganisms to reproduce. Cleaning these biofilms can be, and is, a difficult process once the system has been neglected for even a short period of time. In some cases, just a few minutes or seconds in an area of the system that has less than 6 mg per liter of oxygen can create a septic environment. Bio-films are difficult to clean. Many experts believe that the pathogens that form can cross the surfaces of old and degraded plastics and continue to appear even after apparent sterilization, since “soil” cannot be sterilized.
Accepted as the “gold standard” in the medical surgical instrument industry, enzyme formulations have proven effective in hydroponics. Used from the beginning (as directed) – when starting with a clean system – Hygrozyme will help prevent the build-up of bio-films that lead to disease.
Hygrozyme is effective in helping to keep the surfaces of pipes, pumps, tanks and trays free of bio-film buildup.
APPLICATION
Hygrozyme doesn't kill anything. To be effective, it must be used before dead matter can develop and “attach” to surfaces, generating biofilm buildup – like your house fire insurance that must be purchased before the fire.
As Hygrozyme is the only known solution on the market that can be used in conjunction with hydrogen peroxide in a 1-2% ppm solution, some operators use this combination to clean, sterilize and oxygenate roots.
- Use from the beginning to the end of the growth cycle: 2 - 2.5 Ml per liter
- Decomposition of dead roots to rejuvenate soil: 2.5; 3.75 Ml for each liter
- Keeps roots cleaner in hydroponic greenhouse systems: 2 – 2.5 Ml per liter
- For larger root systems: 2 – 2.5 ml per liter
- Accelerates growth immediately after seed germination: 1.5 Ml per liter
- It is used to wash leaves and helps prevent the development of diseases carried by the leaves (e.g. powdery mildew) 1.5 Ml per liter
