There are countless manufacturers on the market and it is difficult to find your way around the offer.
In addition, inaccurate information often circulates among users, which can influence the customer when choosing a quality product.
During our presence on the market, we have sold hundreds of ballasts, so we can compare not only the quality, but also the failure rate of individual brands.

MAGNETIC BALLASTS:
This is an outdated technology that brings many pitfalls.
Thanks to their weight, high emission of residual heat, small and rapidly decreasing efficiency and at the same time increased danger, they have become irrelevant for current indoor cultivation and therefore you will not even find them in our offer.

DIGITAL BALLASTS:
New technology, providing great performance, absolute user comfort, reliability and especially safety thanks to a simple connection that really everyone can handle.
The biggest advantage of digital ballasts is that, unlike magnetic ballasts, they provide much better linearity of light, which does NOT DEGRAD.
The consumption and performance stated by the factory specifications will last for many years.

These ballasts also usually provide the possibility of regulation.
However, it is essential to understand how to use this function properly!
For example a 600W ballast can offer 3 levels of regulation: 250-400-600W which means that the given stage is always used for lamps with the same wattage!
It is therefore possible to connect a 400W HPS and MH lamp to a 600W ballast regulated to 400W.
Growth lamps can NEVER !!! be regulated, because it reduces the life of the lamp and fundamentally degrades the radiated spectrum, so that the plants cannot grow properly.
In principle, flower lamps can be regulated, but the manufacturers do not recommend it either, because then the stability of the factory-set values ​​of the light spectrum cannot be guaranteed.
The service life of the lamp can be also affected by the regulation.

There are dozens of types of digital ballasts on the market, however, a large part of them suffer from troubles such as poor quality regulation (they produce more power than they should and affected the lamp life), unstable signal (affecting the resulting PAR), frequent failures, etc.
If you want to avoid a bad purchase, focus your attention mainly on the products of LUMATEK, GAVITA and SUNSYSTEM.

Most other products are often just cheaper imitations of these market leaders, which, in addition to the money saved, on the one hand, also brings the above-mentioned problems on the other.
