The Type-A Adapter is designed to connect our UIS controllers with grow lights from other manufacturers that use RJ11 and RJ12 connectors and PWM or 0-10V dimmers. This adapter is compatible with lights that adhere to these dimming standards (see the list of compatible models). Once connected, you can automate light cycles, scheduling, and dynamic responses to temperature and humidity changes. It also connects to the UIS platform of smart controllers and growing devices, working together to create the ideal environment for your plants. Our WiFi-enabled smart controllers allow you to monitor and control growth from your phone anywhere, providing data, graphs, and alerts through the AC Infinity app.

Once you connect the first light to the controller, you can control additional lights with RJ11 or RJ12 connectors using the manufacturer's daisy-chain method. The package includes a 10-foot RJ11/12 extension cord.

Type-A Adapter for Lights with RJ11/RJ12 Connectors for Control via UIS™ Controllers

This adapter allows UIS™ controllers to work with lights from other manufacturers that use RJ11 and RJ12 connectors and PWM or 0-10V dimmers. With this adapter, you can control lights from brands such as MARS, SPIDER, VIPAR, SUN, VOLT, and more. Some models may not be compatible, please refer to the list below.

Light Compatibility

Most lights with RJ11 and RJ12 connectors and PWM or 0-10V dimming standards are compatible with this Type-A adapter. However, each light manufacturer has a different dimming protocol, so some lights may have a limited dimming range with our controllers. Lights with spectral control or using a resistance protocol are not compatible. For these lights, use a different adapter or the UIS Control Plug.

  • GROWER'S CHOICE – ROI Series (limited dimming range)
  • HYPHOTONFLUX – HPF and PRO Series
  • LUMATEK – ZEUS and ATS Series, compatible with their RJ12 Ethernet adapter (limited dimming range)
  • MARS HYDRO – FC, FC-E, SP, and TS Series models with self-branded controllers. If your model uses MOSO or MEANWELL controllers, use our Type-B adapter.
  • MEDIC GROW – EZ and FOLD Series
  • MEDIC GROW – MINI SUN Series (limited dimming range)
  • PHANTOM – Pheno 440
  • PHLIZON – FD, PL, and PRO Series (limited dimming range)
  • PHOTONTEK – X, XT, SQ Series, compatible with their Dimmer to RJ12 Adapter (limited dimming range)
  • SPIDER FARMER – G, SE, and SF Series models with self-branded controllers. If your model uses MOSO or MEANWELL controllers, use our Type-B adapter.
